Dr. Green thinks high-saturated-fat meat can cause acne. "Fattier meats have more insulin growth factor.
Cow's milk dairy products (such yoghurt and cheese) boost IGF-1, which produces an enlarged sebaceous gland, greater sebum production, and acne outbreaks.
"Whey protein drinks boost androgen, which resembles testosterone. This can contribute to lean muscle growth, but it also increases oil production .
"Microwave dinners cause skin harm because plastics melt into your food," says dermatologist Adrienne O'Connell, MD.
Doctor O'Connell claims that mayonnaise is bad for your skin since it contains a lot of omega-6-rich oils and hence causes inflammation.
"Even though they're tasty, baked products like doughnuts and pastries are high in sugar, which can add to the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
If you eat a lot of pretzels, you might end up with dry skin. SALT and other dehydrating elements, such as alcohol and coffee, can add to wrinkles .
"Artificial sweeteners have been demonstrated to have the same effect on our hormones as sugar, which means that they may likewise cause acne.
"White bread is one of the major contributors to glycation," says NYC dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, MD.
