Spicy American Chicken Recipe

8 chicken drumsticks skin on
3 garlic cloves crushed
3/4 cup tomato sauce
2 tbs brown sugar


1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup Massel* Chicken Style Liquid Stock
2 onions large thinly sliced
1 tbs oil

1. Fry garlic in oil in a pot.


2. Combine the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, stock, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Cook, stirring periodically, for 5 minutes.

3. Brown the chicken on both sides in a frying pan and gently fried for a few minutes. Place the chicken in a casserole dish and pour the sauce over it.

4. Preheat oven to 180°C and bake uncovered.

5. Place sliced onion on top after 15 minutes and baste.

6. Continue baking for another 35 minutes, basting every 10 minutes.
