start exploring

The red snapper is a large saltwater fish found in the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Most fish are smaller than snappers, which can grow to 35 pounds. Red snapper is usually sold whole or in fillets. Whole fish typically weigh between 2 and 5 pounds.

What Does Red Snapper Taste Like?

A nutty taste characterises red snapper. If someone who does not eat fish is served any flesh from this species, they may not recognise they are eating fish.
